Since this is a thread on Milli's, can you all post how you care for these? Lighting, placement, nutrients, parameters etc. Love milli's (probably my favorite) and would love to pick everyones brains on how to care for them.

I've got mine about 14 inches from the lights, high lighting and high turbulent flow. Same care as Acros really since they are in the family.

Has anyone got some examples of where they've taken a browned out Mille and pulled it's colour back?

Derek, don't be bummed!!! Spaths are one of my favorites acros ever! That's why I can spot them from across a room. You can tell by the tips, or the lead corallites. If you notice, millies have a pronounced corallite. They kind of poke out a bit. Spaths have tips that form a kind of rounded point. Much rarer than millies, and VERY sensitive to fluctuations in chemistry. They are infamous for being one of the worst all time shippers (particularly wild colonies), so if you have a healthy one, you are lucky. They are closely related to milleporas, and endemic to a small area in Australia. For reference, here are a couple of links and pics of other Spathulatas so you can get familiar with the differences.

And here is one I recently bought that unfortunately couldn't survive 14 hours of mild weather shipping:

Hope this helps. They are an amazing coral that has yet to really hit its stride in our hobby - and for that I'm glad :)

Ive got a Spath. Just recently discovers it is. Lost its awesome color but I'm sure it will come back.
So far doing very well.
