I picked up a cheap piece of acro today at my LFS and when I was acclimating it I noticed it had this big white spot missing with some algae growing on it. I hit it with a Turkey baster to blow the algae off and some white flesh came off with it and this is what it looks like now. Does anyone know if this is from a pest or if it was fragged or something else? Thanks!

Looks to me like it was possibly touching (and grown into) another acro when it was fragged. I would cut off that area and mount the non effected pieces next to each other. Or, put some crazy glue over the white part in question.

Oh interesting I can super glue right over the injured part to help it heal? I never even thought of that
