Hi,

Five days ago I have got 8 new acropora frags.
These are my second batch of acro frags and the first 5 I bought all rtned within a week..
The couse was probably that I did not aclimate them to the light back than and tank was younger so not stable enough.

Now my tank is running about 1 year.
This time I lost one acro so far but that was more of an precaution as it had white bugs (too tiny to take a picture of) on it witch did not go away after 2x coral rx dip and the polyps of the coral were not extended from the beginning.
So I threw that one away couse those white bugs seemed to irritate or eat the coral and I did not want to risk it spreading.

The other 7 acros all have pe and have color and no visible pests.
But I have some corals that do something now witch could be bad.. I don't know for shure tho.
The polyps of one Mille and one acro are turning white and one other acro gets white tips (no tissue loss just a white color at the tips).
What can be the couse of that to happen?

The acros are on a fragrack under about 150 par atm.
I plan to slowly raise par to 250-300 in a month.
The acros all receive strong random flow.
Salinity = 1.026
Kh= 8
Ca= 425
Mg= 1370
No3= 2 - 3
Po4= 0.015

I have one acropora formosa green witch I have 5 months now witch has only encrusted for 4 months but it now grows up.
I dose Triton other methods and run basic zeovit without getting No3 and po4 ultra low.
I dose weekly
3x zeobac
3x ponge power
2x coral snow
1x zeozym
2x daily 2x zeostart

I’d say their fine. Acro tips will be white when they grow a little, they color up over time. New growth on all my acros is white, and colors up within a week. If the whiteness spreads downward that’s an issue but this looks like new growth. Here’s my red planet, tons of new growth tips that are white :).

I can see how some of the polyps have mature coloring and others are more white. The ones along the growth tips are whiter, which to me is normal. I think they look fine.

In the Zeo method, is it normal to have PO4 below .02? I don't run Zeo but have seen some beautiful systems that do.

@ycnibrc has an amazing acropora system under Zeo. If I recall correctly, he feeds fish often and very heavy every day.

Do you feed fish heavy/often?

Hmm ok that would be nice, that would be very fast growth tho.. I just have them 5 days..
I do have the feeling that a snail or hermid just spawned as the water is suddenly pretty cloudy.
So that would explain the pe they have atm.

And I'm raising the Po4 since two weeks (Po4 was 0.00) with feeding nori 5x a week and target feed the lps reefroids the other 2 days.
It drops to 0.00 cuite fast and I'm trying to get it to 0.02-0.04.
I also feed my fish about one cube of frozen a day and some palet food with an auto feeder.
I'm currently increasing the amount of food starting with the nori and roids and after that I'm increasing the pelet food.

Thats a butiful coral!

Just meshured Po4.
It is 0.00 again.
I meshured 0.015 at Sunday.
Guess I gotta put more palet food in.

I have made some closeup photos of the frag three days in a row.
Every day more polyps turn white.. And the polyps get all weird curled and stretched.

Is this normal?
