Hello I woke up this morning witnessing my Halloween hermit crab chowing down on my new acro. The tissue at the base of the acro is all gone and I’m wondering if this coral will survive this?

Good evening,

Sorry for the delay and trouble . I have not know them to eat Acro. It has been a few days since you posted, Any changes? It sounds like it may be STN and the crab was cleaning around the base.

Could you post a pic

Give it time, I have had acros come back from the tiniest piece. As long as you removed the jerk and the parameters are good etc, it should be fine. If its a new coral frag though that had underlying issues the crab may have just been going after dying tissue. You may want to take it out and dip it if thats an option.
