So I thought I ordered a milli but turns out I ordered a $13.99 frag of Acropora spathulata which I've read are one of the hardest to keep alive in captivity let alone have them flourish and when it came it was half the size it currently is and was freshly glued so no entrusting whatsoever and 1 month later I have this gorgeous bright blue frags fully encrusted with its sweepers out most of the day and I have a lot of Kenya tree's which they say kill sps yet all my sps frags are growing faster then I'd expect here's a pic but my camera sucks of the Acropora spathulata

I also only use ro/di water and have a 40 gal dual refugium but for my second go at sps I was impressed after reading how some ppl say 80% of that species dies when introduced to a new aquarium. If anyone know much about these is this frag worth anything now that it's fully encrusted and super blue but I use led lighting so camera doesn't capture the color as good as in person imo.

Looks good, I've read they are hard to keep as well.

But I do have to ask, is your tang ok in the background? in that picture it looks quite ill.

Yeah that poor guy has lateral line disease and I've had him for years he just doesn't wanna die and I'm giving another tang away cuz he's too big but he has it also but his is not nearly as bad and I dose garlic concentrate that I soak their food in which helped the one tang but that one has looked like that for about 6 or more years believe it or not. It was one of my father's fish all mine are smaller and healthy as could be I've mated clowns before successfully but if u know any way to heal him fully I'd love to know if not he seems happy and eats regular just looks rough poor guy...

Yeah there's no current going thru my water cuz I've had that back in the day to the point u would get shocked if u weren't grounded and put ur hand in the water, the fish that have it are from another tank that was condensed into one big 125 gal reef and their the only 2 sick fish but they don't act sick their just an eye sore

Regarding the tang, do you use carbon? Continuous use of carbon has been linked to HLLE. And, I would replace the garlic with either vita-chem or selcon to soak his food.

I have a spathulata frag that's doing pretty well. I'll try to get a picture tomorrow if I can :)

Lrs and black worms for food helped my kole tang before he went to the great beyond. He does look stressed in there tho

Well he fights with the other tang which is why I want to get rid of them if someone is willing to pay to have it shipped or come help me catch the one tang it's theirs for free. I prefer smaller fish. And healthy ones
