Does anybody know how long an acropora frag can survive without light? I am leaving for a short family vacation in a little while and completely forgot to set up the timer. Lights will not be on from Saturday-Sunday, so 48 hours. I am returning Sunday night so I may be able to turn on the lights for a couple hours. I could also see if the house sitter could try and turn on the lights while she is here. This is my first and only acro and it seems to be doing well so I would be pretty upset if I returned to find out its dying.

You should be fine.
Ppl do a 3 day complete darkness and corals are fine after that.
Just don't put lights on full blast and going back on regular schedule on Monday is even better.
Why you turned the timers off, are they not automatic and set for a schedule?

Thanks. The lights don't have a built in timer so I'm using a timer strip but for some reason it doesn't turn on/off at the times I programmed it to.

Oh ok that explains.
Well get yourself a new timer as the digi's are inexpensive and run around $10 for a single outlet 7 day setup and the doubles are around $15
