Acropower! How did you decide how much to dose?

Hello all!

I'm dosing Acropower at 8ml/day with a DOS to a 135G tank which is very close to what they recommend. My Acros are growing quickly, but are still small colonies or frags.

Is there any clue that you guys are using to figure out when to dose more or less? Or what's proper for the tank? Like do you adjust for coral color? Or if Phosphate jumps up do you dose differently?

With these Type of “bonus “ supplements, I dose half the recommended dose. They want you to use a lot and buy more. For decades we never dosed aminos and SPS grew fine. We never fed them either.

That's a good point! And I'm not sure I need it at all to be honest, but in the past I've struggled with running lower nutrients and finding that the corals get pale. I was hoping that if I dose something like this it would ensure that the coral's nutrition needs are met and I never have to deal with that again.

Ah, my comment was more geared to a normal berlin system. For an ULNS you would definitely want to dose this.
