I know the reason I started aminos, was tidal gardens started and was talking about how much he noticed changed dosing them. To the point hes using gallons worth daily in his greenhouses. I personally saw much more growth in my zoas compared to the 3 months before and much more added color to my lps but that is my experiencePeople clearly have different opinions, my suggestions and what pushed me into I will dose redsea AB was before and after photos about 2-3 months apart.
Dont assume you will remember what they looked like a few months ago. If they do gradually loose or gain color you won’t be able to tell. Unless you can look at a picture.
Will your tank crash if you stop dosing aminos, no. Will your corals stop growing, no. Will they die, no. But I’d bet money that the growth will be a bit slower and the color won’t be as nice.
Food for thought, look into what people who rehab sick corals do. And look at the results they get. What do propagation farms do? Do they use aminos? Their livelihood is tied up in coral growth, if they do use aminos does it really make sense for them to spend hundreds of dollars if they do nothing? And if they aren’t using aminos it’s probably because It doesn’t have a significant impact.
But what do I know.
