So as an avid Acro lover, I am finding it hard to keep up with the calcium and Alk. in my tank. I run a 12 gallon aquapod with 70 watt halide. My stats are as followed: Calc-390, dkh-9.1, mag-1360, nitrites-0, nitrates-0, po4 - .02. I dose 8.four (aquavitro) and calcium (Seachem) everyday and my numbers never fluctuate too much. So the question I have is what is the best way to get my acros to grow faster? They are all healthy and encrusting but I see faster growth in other tanks. I do 15% weekly water changes and feed oyster eggs twice a week. All of the acros are in good par areas in my tank and hold the color and polyp extension they are supposed to have. Thanks in advance

not all tanks are created the same. if water and light are adequate, they will grow. be patient.

Your lighting is the killer IMHO.... Your prolly seeing acros under 250w or 400w compared to your 70w mh.... Let them settle in most of the time they just encrust then explode with growth...
