Acros tip turning purple

What is that purple Tip developing was never there before

i could be wrong but most likely that is algae on a tip that is dead..thu it looks purple under blue light, most likely green when lights are off.

You could cut that tip of and help it grow back..
 
Yea the tips have an algea build up on them for a possible number of reasons. Most likely is they got burned and so algea could grow in it. And if it indeed has burnt tips, the lighting is to strong for it so I would move it away from the light. seriatopora (birdsnest - the one you have) are an easy sps to keep and do not require the same amount of light that most acros like.
