So wanting to get into acros and brought a small frag and wanted to get some input on care, placement, etc. I believe it's call a Champane acro.
 
Put it in an area with high light, keep it high flow but not direct flow. I think the key to keeping SPS successfully is to make sure that all parameters are stable, keeping the tank topped off, dosing supplements, etc.
 
IME if you put it mid tank (assuming you have quality lights) and in high flow and then leave it alone, it will be happy. They take a bit to settle in sometimes but once they start growing, they can grow fast.

Did you dip it, or at least inspect it before putting it in your tank? Acropora can get quite a few pests so its always good to at least inspect and dip.
