What do all of you use to clean the outside of your acrylic tank? I bought some of those generic blue microfiber cloths from an auto parts store and the are scratching my tank. Any suggestions? I use a magic eraser for the inside.

If you wanna scratch your tank!
Use materials that are softer then acrylic such as Teflon, make a teflon blade out of a small piece by beveling the edge on a belt sander.
Use it for inside, out side WET microfiber cloth.

I second that, I used micro fiber cloth and it scratched my tank also. However, I think it might have actually been the salt crystals on the outside that get trapped under the cloth . So you always have to rinse the towel you use in the RO water.
So far the only things that don't scratch my tank are basic white gift cards from places like Starbucks or Jamba Juice and the magic eraser

Thats what i meant by wetting it, many acrylic fabricators use this method while removing excess compound.
Towel was garbage or the acrylic is horrible quality. good news is, those scratches are probably minimal and you can polish them out.

Hopefully it's the towel. I admit they were the cheaper ones I found. Acrylic is a newly manufactured custom tank so for my sanity I'm going to assume it's not the acrylic.
And yeah, it was just a small part of a corner of the tank I used as a test since I had a similar problem with my other tank, so no significant damage.
