Would this tank be safe to hold water, it is a 90 gallon used acrylic aquarium with crazing on the front. The dimensions are 60’’ long, 18’’ deep, and 19’’ tall. The acrylic is 1/2” thick on the top and 1/4” on all the sides. Here is the link for the photo of the tank -https://share.icloud.com/photos/030_6Jbzzc8JKDgUY2adt7jaw

I used novice 1, 2, and 3 on the acrylic and it is super smooth, the crazing is too small to feel, and you can only see it from a specific angle.

It will be fine. As for buffing- will take more than novus
You will need to sand buff and even clay to clear it

Luckily you can’t see them while the tank is on the stand(they are only visible when the tank is on the ground.) Thank you though for the advice!

Welcome,
I believe the material for the front panel is too thin and it may not be cell cast acrylic. Some manufacturers tried to use less expensive acrylic over the years to keep the cost down. Only properly guaged cell cast acrylic is suitable for aquarium construction. If the panel bows when full of water it adds stress to the panel. I have seen aquariums craze from thin materials, windex, petroleum distillates, rubbing and denatured alcohol.

The best abrasive package I have seen for acrylic restoration is called micro mesh. Use it wet to prevent heat build up and induced stress.

I wouldn't mess around with crazing, and frankly 1/4" sided 90gal sounds too thin. sounds like a very cheap tank and you dont want that...
