Acrylic Bonding

Weld On is a permanent bond of acrylic and most likely needs to be ordered.

The other option is silicone caulk specifically made for acrylic. HD carries this, but not with it's standard caulks in the Paints department. You'll find this caulk where they sell acrylic sheets. Works great.

HERE IT IS.

Yes they do, but not real thick.

Use carbide saws (radial arm, table saw, circular saw) or router with carbide bits.

I drilled 3 holes across the width of the baffle and then routed three slots in the extension so I could slide it up and down. Got the nylon nuts/bolts off amazon.

Can you share a link to the nuts and bolts from Amazon?....Thank you!

Sweet....thank you!
Hey I just noticed you're in Stamford....I'm in Woodbury!

oh cool, we need more CT reefers ..... hope we don't lose power .......

I would be careful drilling holes. You need to use a special drill (See the attachment from Amazon) or maybe Home Depot or you may fracture the acrylic. HD should have the Nylon screws ask the sales person.

I work with acrylics and build tanks, fuges, AIO tanks, cubes, and frag tanks all the time.
I use Weldon 16 as above. Works great, melt-seals together and never leaks as long as the edges are straight.

Cool...I am gonna cut and drill all my pieces today and when the weldon 16 comes in I will bond them.

I cut and glued all pieces today, gonna still tomorrow.
I actually cut all the acrylic with a dewalt chopsaw...worked awesome!

BRS has this cool little clamp to assist you with straight holes with no jumping. Never tried but looks cool.
