Just curious what you acrylic guys used to clean your tanks with. I just got my tank and sump in and wanted to clean them up before I started filling them up. I currently use vinegar based windex to clean the glass on my biocube but did not know if that was safe to use on acrylic as well.

Just use vinegar and water mix. Made it in a spray bottle. Windex has ammonia in it and that is a reef no, no:)

Yea I know not to use the blue color windex because of the ammonia. However the clear windex is vinegar based and has no ammonia at all in it. It is the kind that is safe to use on tinted windows, ammonia turns window tint purple, so they use vinegar in it so it is safe for tinting.

However I can do the vinegar and water route I guess.

That's your be best, it still has color and scent in it. I mean we can get real crazy using the purest products around our tanks, you just do not want in the tank.
