Just curious if anyone here has purchased or seen any tanks made by Acrylic Creations from Butler, Pa? His prices seem reasonable, I'm just wondering what the quality of his work is like. If you have photos that would be excellent. I'm looking to buy a 150G 3/4" minimum on all sides, external overflow.

I bought my frag tanks and sump from them last year. Good quality. I ordered another frag tank and Swap tank. This time the seams were not as nice. Lots of bubbles. I've done a better job on seams before.

Thanks, I might give him a call and see if I can check out his shop and talk to him in person about a custom tank, since he's less than 2hrs away. I'll address the concern of bubbles in the seams and hope there aren't any. Faulty seams is a big concern for me bc that's how my last tank broke and I lost everything but 1 fish.

How did this go? Did you end up purchasing from him? I have a custom drop off that I had him quote. He seems very friendly, I just have not seen or heard much about quality of work.

I just ordered a large new tank (150 Gallon) from AC this week for a January build. He as very nice and the pricing was definitely reasonable. I have only seen good reviews from the few that were available. I am giving them a shot!

3 weeks away from the big day! I would imagine there will be photos available prior to then.

I elected to puck it up versus paying for shipping so I will post pictures as soon as I can.

Getting there!! Should be ready for delivery before the end of the month!!

Hi Guys/Gals,

The tank is installed along with the sump, and I think it looks great. I did notice a couple "patches" however in one of the corner seems and looking for an opinion if anyone has any experience. This is a 3/4" acrylic tank, so more than adequate wall thickness, but does this seem look like it is destined for failure? I am hopeful it is simply aesthetic, but don't want to be naive and face a major issue down the road somewhere.

I have had water in the tank for about two weeks now, but am holding off on completing the install until I build a bit more confidence.

The second picture looks like router marks, if this seam was properly adhered the router lines would not be visible as they would "melt" into the seam.

They are very nice and it's all about the response right? I sent then the photos and asked what the next move is. We will see how it is handled.
