Just made this. My local guy only had 1/4" acrylic rod in stock so I took it. The next ones will have 1/2".

Thanks. It's a lot easier than I thought it would be.

I'm waiting on the glue to dry and then it will be full. I will be able to clean up my sandbed finally. I will have to make another one to get most of the frags off of the sand bed and somewhat organized.

There are two open spots that are no longer empty.

Thanks guys! I'm surprised that people like as much as it seems. I'm really happy with it :).

A local reefer said I should bend some acrylic and make one magnetic. I may try it if I'm able to find some really good magnets.

I've been thinking about doing this as well. Are there benifits besides the astedics? Definitely looks great and I think the 1/4" rod is plenty strong for our uses. ( I used to manufacture plastic rod and tubes acrylic rod is pretty tuff) and what did it cost for the sheet? I have some thin sheets I used but id like something a littlw thicker for a longer span.

Looks awesome… What did you use to cut the holes with and what type of glue did you use?

I have acans under the rack that still get a lot of light instead of when I had the egg crate rack.

The sheet was in a scrap bin at the acrylic place and the rod was $4.5 for 6 feet. Then I got the adhesive for acrylic and it was $5 for the applicator filled with it. So it cost me $10 and I can make 5 of these. I will need more of the rod if I want them with legs.
