Acrylic hinges for glass lid?

So I've heard acrylic will warp if you use it as a lid, but what about as a hinge for a glass lid?

Any recs for the hinges?

Thanks, after thinking about it I think I'm gonna build a canopy. Will look better and main reason is to keep the cats out. Lol
