if someone painted the outside bottom black and i wanted to remove it what could i use to not hurt or scratch it ? please help:cry:

Rubbing alcohol.

Do not use paint thinner/acetone or anything like that.. it will craze the acrylic.

ok that sound sweet .. i just fell into a 540 gal acrylic tank so the work starts now ..i have to tear down my 220 now ..

Home depot carries it also... Any denature alcohol will work... Rubbing alcohol can cause crazing and joint failure over time.... Even windex can fwiw... if the paint is a latex or water base I would try pressure washing it off first... If it's krylon go the alcohol route...

+100 for acrylic god! i used denatured alcohol too with a plastic putty knife, after spraying the alcohol the paint turned into kinda a gel/paste which i scraped off most of it. good luck!@

Good luck getting back out of it after that fall as that's a big tank! :)

Not part of your question, but do you know who made the tank? How thick are all of the panels ... 1" or plus I hope or climb out fast ;)
