Acans like to grow AROUND what they are on, if that means their faces ill be in the sandbed then they will die. Leave them something to grow and spread onto. Large flat plugs (stubs can be removed) Can be trimmed/cut and glued to give them a base to spread on.

Oh, And the trick to Reefbrights in an ORANGE or BROWN color filter, like snowboard googles or sunglasses. It removes the blue hue that the camera (and the eye) sees, pop out the colors like you would not believe.

This is such a GREAT point! Once they start dying it usually effects the whole colony.
