Can corals thrive under actinic light only? I ask because I've been running strictly under actinic light for about 3-4 weeks now and my corals are looking better than before. Granted I've made a lot of other changes on my quest to beat green hair algae but pleasantly surprised that all my corals (softies and LPS) are fairing very well under this light. I think GHA is slowly dissipating and corals are thriving!

Despite this I'm still upgrading to Kessil 160 as soon as I can. I just hate the extreme blue look.

I think your corals are doing better with the other changes you did. Especially if gha is going away. So keep doing what you are doing and get the kessils. The actinic does help a little on growth but it's mainly for color.
