Activated Biochar

I've been following the development of activated biochar (virgin wood) and based on the porosity and purity it seems like a good fit for aquarium & aquaculture systems using activated carbon. Also the density is low which makes it very economical. I would appreciate anyones thoughts on this. Thanks
