Can i soak old activated carbon in some hydrogen peroxide to kill off the bacteria and then reuse it? Or will the carbon remove the peroxide?

I'm not sure you can regenerate it well this way. Some folks find some regeneration of capacity by microwaving it. :)

Its just ive read carbon stops working after bacteria grow on it in 3 days. Ive got rox .8 coming soon and i want to extend the life. Maybe i should microwave it once a week for a month?

I don't know that 3 days is the limit, but there's some point where it is coated, yes.
I'd search on microwave and GAC to find discussions where folks showed improved capacity, by how much and after how long. :)
