Hey Im a newbie to saltwater tanks but after having to part with my loved fresh water aquarium due to space , I decided my next set up would be a marine nano tank, which I have wanted to do for years. I have gone for the aqua one mini reef 90

I've never used a sump before and wanted to add some activated carbon but not sure where to place it. I have read of people adding to their filter sock, but I was just wondering if this could cause blockages?

You can hook up a small reactor to run carbon, or place it in a media bag and put in in between two baffles. The key here is that water needs to flow through it to make a difference. It can't just be sitting on the bottom of the sump.
