Aqua medic and Deltec make anaerobic nitrate filters. The aquamedic is too small, the deltec too expensive. The working principle is sound. Low flow, carbon dosed, internal recirculation turning the tank volume once per week or two.
Does anyone have first hand experience with this? My thought is a 22kg Redsea salt bucket with screw lid, 2/3 full with bio balls, 400lph recirculation, and a t-off to feed 1-5 lph fed with methanol or Vodka, redox probe to guage 02 level in the filter, and following the Deltec start up method.
Thank you
