At a LFS. I don’t mention names or throw any of these stores under the bus, because I’ve seen things at about every store around. It’s nearly impossible to keep it out.

Agreed! I've seen almost every pathogen at almost every store at some point in the recent past.

It’s not really their fault. I just got smoked by something (Uronema) and I try to keep everything out of my tank. So just think how hard it would be for a fish store to treat for all the different infections, parasites, protozoa, dinoflagellates, etc. Not to mention the time it would take or trying to avoid cross contamination.

Nearly impossible, unfortunately. Definitely not economically feesible.

Absolutely true. Hence the responsibility of quarantine being our duty to the fish we purchase.

When I hear somebody at the store talking about how the fish look bad, I just wish they would try to take on the task of making all the fish look good.

Copper will help for some parasites like ICH and Velvet, but other things will not be affected by it.

Yeah. Unfortunately people will generally not buy fish that look sick, and who can blame them, but that surely hurts profits for the store. I don't have a solution. ;Sour
