Hi, so I lost a fairy wrasse a little while ago and have been wanting to replace him, but I'm not sure what would do the best in my tank.

Currently I have in my 55g mixed reef tank:
1 mystery wrasse
1 carberryi anthias
1 kaudern cardinal
1 candy hogfish
2 maroon clowns

I was thinking either a handfull of chromis, a dottyback or a six line wrasse. What do you all think? Should I get one of these or is there something else you think that might be a better choice, or do you think I should just stick with what I got. Please let me know and thanks for your help.

Maybe add a couple more cardinals....they are a schooling fish

If you add anything I recommend a Lubbocks wrasse. I have one in my 55 reef and it is excellently behaved. Comes out often. And is beautiful in color.

i doubt the cardinals would stay together as a school. i think you would do better with 3 to 5 chromis. they always add a very realistic element to any reef tank.

Bangaii cards don't school, and chromis school for a few months before they kill eachother.
I would replace the mystery with 1-2 more anthias.

Haha, no way I'm giving up my mystery wrasse. He's my absolute favorite fish.

Lubbocks wrasse seem great, but I don't know if I want to add one or not.

Thanks everyone for your help, but I think I'm just going to do what the first 2 people said and just keep it as is... at least for now.
