Add chem, or let it take its course?

Good evening everyone let me talk to you a little bit about my tank it’s a reefer 350 V3, it’s been running for 5 weeks in the first week I dosed the fritz turbo start and let me tell you it worked off the bat Amonia was 0, ph 7.8, nitrite 0, nitrate 0, the tank was purchased used but I did add all new rock and sand I left the sump and over flow how it is for beneficial bacteria I then added a brightwell brick with the microbactor 7 absorbed into the brick also added a bag of chemipure. At the 3 week mark I added a pair of clowns a royal gamma and a blue headed wrasse, the tank held up the parameters perfect 4th week I added some hardy coral GSP a FRA and a hammer which was given to me. I usually do that so when as soon as the corals start to thrive I add more coral lil by little I did notice a little change in the tank today I haven’t done a water test in about a week so I decided to do so these are my parameters

Ammonia:0

Ph:8.0

Nitrite: .25

Nitrate: .20

Calcium: 440

Phosphates: 0

Kh: 11dkh

Mg:1350

I started doing WC last week I am planning on doing WC every Thursday 10%.

Now my question is will my nitrates and nitrite dip down on there own as the tank establishes or should I introduce it to chemicals etc to lower nitrate and nitrite. Also I don’t have a skimmer due to the tank being 5 weeks old I do plan on putting one this week. I did add a refugium with chaetoalgae to remove nitrates etc. someone recommended the fritz all over again but I just wanna hears everyone’s opinion thank you.

I’d start with the water changes and see if the skimmer helps. Test weekly and go from there.

Your nitrates aren't high. Your water changes will bring them down. Your 0 phosphate will cause problems though. You want .05ppm. Since your tank is only a month or so old you want to slow down with the corals because you will have ugly phases over the next multiple months.

yes I wouldn’t get anymore corals for about a month or so when I see these thriving I’ll add one more or so, how can I hire the phosphate
