Hey everyone,

I'm about to add the "main fish" to my 155g. I have some smaller fish and some wrasses. I have a Copperbanded Butterfly and a small Kole Tang on hold in QT at my local LFS. The Kole tang is ready now, but the Butterfly won't be ready for another week or so. I can have the fish store keep the Kole in QT for longer for $25 a week.

In an ideal world, i would add the Butterfly before the Kole so he would have some time as the biggest fish to adjust. But my experience has been that Kole's aren't that feisty, and that the Butterfly might be just fine especially in a large tank.

Should i hold off on adding the Kole? Or do people think the butterfly should be fine?

I personally would add the coperband first, the tang will be more aggressive. How big is the kole tang? If it's small you could probably get by with adding it first.

They tend to get more aggressive with age, I have a blue eye and the flame angel chases him lol you would probably be ok to add it first.

I think you'll be fine either way but I agree that ideally you would add the copperband before the kole. I doubt you'll have any trouble assuming the CBB eats for you.
