Add Scott's Fairy Wrasse?

I am considering eventually adding a Scott's Fairy Wrasse to my tank. I'm a little unsure, though, because some sites say they're peaceful while others say they're a bit aggressive. I'm wondering if that aggression is mainly towards other wrasses?

My tank size is 50g.

My current stock:
1 Royal Gramma
2 Bartlett's Anthias (apparently doing fine as a pair - eating great, no squabbling)
1 Scooter Dragonet (I was warned that the gramma might harass her, but so far the gramma has ignored her completely)
2 Ocellaris Clownfish
1 Matted Filefish

I'd also like to get a chalk basslet. I've got lots of caves for everyone

What do you guys think? Would it work okay?

Just so you know, I will not be purchasing any more fish or corals until the aiptasia is gone and my biofilter is more established (since I'm having some nitrate issues.)

They are one of the most aggressive Cirrhilabrus, yes.

But the biggest problem for you, is a 50g tank is not large enough for one. They're a 6" fish and need more swimming room than such. 90g min, IMO.

Okay. Forgot to note my tank is a 50 long, but 6"...eek. I hadn't yet noticed that. My biggest fish ever has been a 5" featherfin catfish (FW), and even with his lower activity level he never looked like he quite fit in the tank until I put him in my 125g.

Maybe I'll go with an Exquisite instead.

7 fish in a 50g seem's plenty IMO. Adding another may be pushing the comfort zone.

The file may not be a permanent resident...we shall see. You're probably right, though...hmmm.

I was just looking at the sizes again and I think nana's right...there at least isn't room for a wrasse. Maybe if and when I rehome the filefish, but not now.

I think with the current stock list you definitely could add a wrasse. You have a relatively mellow and small bunch of fish. I would just choose a smaller wrasse, no Scott's, Solarensis, Red Velvet, nothing that gets real big.

I was thinking an Exquisite...the vanuatu variant.
