Added a second sump for macroalgae

I don't have alot of room in my sump, so decided to drill an old berlin sump and elevate it.



Works pretty well and follows the triton method having the refugium first.

I want to replace with a bigger sump in the future but did this for a temporary solution.
 
This should work - good job! Have you thought about adding a refugium light for the macro algae (if you haven't already)? You could start with an inexpensive one from Amazon if you are trying to keep cost down. Good luck!

Thanks! I have a couple cheap refugium lights and I'm planning to set them up this weekend. I might just go with the AI Prime Fuge light. I have a pax bellum too but I've have more success with the macro in the sump like this. I have a AWC DOS setup so I'm hoping that keeps my iodine and iron levels in balance. I'm still finalizing some of the plumbing.

I plan to consolidate this area a little better, but I'm doing some painting and waterproofing right now and have the sump to the left. Here's some additional pictures:
