Epsom salt are used to raise magnesium in salt water nothing else that I can think of

I'm not sure why the salinity spiked like that, how much Epsom salts did you add? The typical dose is one tablespoon per 5 gallons.

I added a little over 2 cups. I have a 180 and my sump is a 120. Although the sump is not completely full. I hope it doesn't give a false reading because it took a lot to get it back down.
