I have a bryopsis outbreak. I’ve shown other reefers an they agree it’s bryopsis. I added Reefflux fluconazole at 20mg/gal 1.5 weeks ago. A few of the patches have disappeared but the main ones still look quite healthy. As per the instructions, I stopped skimming and using GFO and activated carbon for 3 days before putting them back online.

Where do I go from here? Sit on my hands and wait? Do a water change an redose?

PH 8.1, alk 7.5, Ca 450, Mg 1400, PO4 O.O6, No3 12, SG 1.026
Nutrient export: skimmer, GFO, activated carbon, chaeto

Thanks!
Sean

Take the carbon out. It removes the meds.
Re dose.

Then yes , be patient. Results are usually really seen in a month.

Patience.

Are you sure its all Bryopsis and not some GHA mixed in? I had both and the Bryopsis disappeared about 10 days after fluconazole treatment, but the GHA remains although beaten back. Some of the heavier patches of Bryopsis didn't look affected until at least day 8, then disappeared literally overnight.

I would recommend testing Nitrate and PO4. I had a moderate spike 8 days in. This weekend will be day 14. I plan on doing a 10g WC with 20mg of fluconazole and re-evaluate on day 21.

I’m keeping a close eye on my nutrients.
It looks all bryopsis but there may some green hair in there.
