Was suffering from cyano due to prob acro power. Stopped dosing, a lot of people recommended adding more flow including the guy at my lfs. So i added another tunze 6015 475 gph in my 29g
So in total i have 3 475 g powerheads. How should i arrange the 3. Just added the third and its creating very pretty nice random flow in the center. Torch is swaying more. (Every thing is closed cause i just turkey bastered the rocks) acans are not closing up surprisingly. Should this help get rid if my cyano. I have chemi clean but am very busy right now with college classes and cant find that much time for multiple water changes

I used some added flow along with adding a big bunch of extra chaeto in the sump plus used Fritz Zyme 460 and patience over the next 45-60 days. Things cleared up nicely

I agree with above. As long as you can blow away the cyano from the corals it will all eventually clear up after a month and half

Exactly. It was my first time in over 15 years with this setup (120g) that I had to deal with cyano.

Could i just ask, what are your phosphates and nitrates reading?

In that case a would start manually removing it

Ya corals are so much happier today, very happy i am getting more gas exchange near the surface. Watched that brs video on the importance of ph. I thought if i maintained alk then my ph would be fine. Going to finally use my refugium compartment in my sump

The refugium will help with ph too. I installed a co2 scrubber a few months back and my sps took off.

Thinking about that too, i aimed a power head to get better gas exchange near surface. Am not getting a lot of dhk consumption cause my birdsnest died a few months ago. Since then everything has stabled out. Was getting .2 dkh per day. Now only .1 per week. But i only have lps. Hopefully i see an increase

I have a mixed reef starting to get heavier on the acropora side. Before the co2 scrubber i was at 7.7-7.9 ph and slightly under 0.1dkh consumption.
After adding the scrubber i am now getting between 8.4-8.55 ph and 0.6-0.8dkh consumption. Over the past couple of weeks my alk consumption has fluctuated alot and was even 1dkh at one point but now it has levelled out a bit.
I would 100% recomend a scrubber to anyone who has trouble with their ph.
Mine is just an old reactor with some modifications to fit to my skimmer air hose and the media i buy from a pharmaceutical supply company online, its only a fraction of the price than if you bought from anywhere else.

Did the heat in your house just start coming on lately?
