Added more flow now I have algae on glass.

I added another powerhead to my 29 cube. Most of the flow is directed at surface of water. But I have noticed that since I added more flow I have a film of algae on my glass that I really wasn't getting before. Is there an explanation for this? Has anyone ever had the same experience? Thank you.

How long has this tank been setup? My initial guess is this was a coincidence.

I agree..seems coincidental to me..anything else change? And yes, how old is the tank?

Tank has been up for 8 month and hardly ever have had to clean the glass. What do you think?

Surface agitation increase refraction, light spread, and even some magnifiction, so you are probably getting more light incident on the glass

I think so
It gives the tank a more natural look, rippling, and of course better air/water exchange
And more flow is generally a good thing for most corals as well.
