I have very limited space in my 10 gallon cube. I wanted a utilitarian fish, something that stayed small, and something pretty. With my recent outbreak of ghost flatworms, a Springeri Damselfish made sense. I found a tiny little guy, baby 3/4" to 7/8" long. To say these guys are hardy is an understatement. I had to acclimate him from 1.012 water to 1.026, he didn't even miss a beat. Then within 5 minutes of being in the new tank he was already picking copepods and flatworms off the glass.

I love mine! Not sure which springer you got but the "true" one (100% blue, no black) stays absolutely tiny!

Mine only has some black marks on his face. No black on his sides at all (like some pics I've seen online). I really hope he stays tiny just since he's in such a small tank!

Not sure if you have seen this article but mine is many years old and its still itty bitty. Sounds like yours could be the same :)

Yep, mine looks exactly like the "real" blue one as well.
