I picked up just a clp of frags yesterday and I was crossing my fingers everything would go well and they have been doing great so far! I am so happy I can start adding corals (my tank took months to finally cycle) and now I am going to do some homework on where is best to buy online that has positive reviews. I love my LFS but they don't have everything lol. Any suggestions??

Also, my zoas had a little issue when adding them bc I went to war with some bristle worms on them but they are doing better now. =)

nice corals, are you dipping before adding to dt? time to start your build thread ;) :)

Looking good! Don't rush things. See how what you have does for a good long while then SLOWLY add to your stock. Slow and steady wins this race.
No I want a full tank corals.... I want it RIGHT NOW. Hahaha lol
No, for real I plan to observe everything pretty closely over the next 2 weeks and see how it goes. But I was happy the opened so quickly

Another MAhole. Welcome! Looks good but take your time. Nothing good happens fast in our reefs. Which LFS do you use?

Yes, I used the Seachems dip with iodine but there just one or two stubborn worms that would fall off then go back on. Soooooo...... I had to destroy them =)
hi,just checking, when you dip your corals, you do know to 2nd dip in cup of dt tank water as rinse, before adding to tank? :)

Nice frags! I'm biased because it is an LFS for me, but Worldwide Corals has a strong reputation for their online sales. Everything in their stores has been immaculate every time I've been in them.

And yes, time for a build thread!

Thanks I will be checking them out for sure.
Ok what is a build thread? I keep reading that in the comments but I don't know how to do it lol

I haven't started one either, but check this thread out for tips. It is a nice way to document your progress and get feedback/advice from fellow reefers!

Looking good! nice choices in coral. My only suggestion would be to cut most of the stem off of the frag plugs that are holding the zoas so they aren't sticking up on a platform. In my experience, zoas will grow to the edge of a frag plug or rock, but don't like to grow downwards very far. So you might find they grow well for now, then sort of stop when the reach the edge. If you cut the stem off of the plug so they are close to the height of the rock, then they can easily grow onto the rock.

Also, welcome to the wonderful addiction of coral! It's hard to stop once yo catch the bug.

Was just about to say this as well.

If you don't have bone cutters, you can get a cheap pair of cutters from home depot. Cut the stem off the plug and re-glue. That way your corals can grow onto the rock.
