New reefer here.
In preparation for getting my first corals after cycling, I have been trying to get my Alk around 8.5 dKH using ESV B-Ionic 2-part in both the DT (85g system) and the coral QT (20g system). Since Ca was above 420 in both tanks, I did not realize i had to dose both components in equal ammounts and have been only adding the Alkalinity component (part 1).
Currently the Ca and Alk measurements of both tanks are as follows:
Display Tank: Ca=425, Alk=8.2
Quarantine Tank: Ca=440, Alk=8.4
How should I proceed from now on? Is there anything that needs to be done besides using equal ammounts of the 2-part component moving forward?
Thanks in advance for your help.
