I have a 65 gallon take thats cycling. Today I added 5lbs more sand just to cover some very shallow spots. Now my tank, sump and fuge is CLOUDY. I used wet live sand by putting it into a pvc pipe. Will this clear up? My entire system is cloudy and white bubbles forming above water line

Totally normal. If your bag of sand came with water clarifier, use it. It will probably be cloudy for a few days. Just make sure to run filter socks to help clear the water up.

It will still clear up, just might take a little longer and some of the dust might settle in your sump. If you have a skimmer that will help.

I remember when I put sand in my tank I couldn't see anything in the tank at all. I was wondering if it would ever clear up. After a few days it looked 100% better.

I have my skimmer going. How do I get the settled dust out the sump? Wait til next water change and siphon it out??

I had the dust on pretty much everything. It even turned my powerheads white, lol. I just brushed everything off and kept flow going to get it down into the sump and vacuumed everything. You will even probably see a big improvement in clarity by tomorrow.

Good news is water is clearing up. I expect it to be crystal clear probably by tomorrow and when I do my first water change, I'll siphon as much settled dust in my sump as possible. I assume after a few water changes, I should be fine.

I was going to ask how the water look this morning:)
