I added a small powerhead to my fuge due to cyano collectong on chaeto, worked great but...
My heater used to kick on for 20 minutes every couple hours, now it kicks on for 7 minutes every hour.
The temp probe is in the fuge with the heater, and i have a 2nd temp probe and heater in the overflow.
The heater in fuge is the main one, kicking on at 78 and off at 78.5. The secondary in the overflow kicks on at 77.8 and off at 78.5. During this the overflow temp has not fallen below 78, nore has the secondary heater had to come on at any point.
Seems like my energy consumption has dropped a little on the heating side, but I want to know what you all think of this situation.
The overflow's temp has been incredibly stable, no longer hitting 78.5 and dropping to 78 as the sump still does, it's almost always 78.2 to 78.3
