I added a UV while going fallow. Lost all fish about a month ago. Using it currently to help with dinos. My couple questions are. Can I run tank a bit quicker if I run UV to help with disease. Should I still qt after all this or will UV help with diseases in tank.

Not sure what you mean by can you ‘run tank quicker’. Can you explain more?

Also, 100% QT or buy QT’d fish. There are a lot of online vendors and LFS’ now that will QT fish for you. It’ll cost more but is ALWAYS worth it. I won’t buy a fish now that hasn’t been QT’d. The risk is too high. Take it from someone who’s been doing it 20 years.

No- uv will only address what passes through the channel but will slow down the Dino- as for disease same applies,,,, it will kill any cysts and parasites that pass through it but not the pre-existing
Will it help- yes

I would follow the 45 or 76 day protocol - with or without UV

Also for dino, this is easy and works well:
Prepare by starting with a water change and blow this stuff loose with a turkey baster and siphon up loose particles.
Turn lights off (at least white and run blue at 10-15% IF you have light dependant corals) for 5 days and at night dose 1ml of 3% hydrogen peroxide per 10 gallons for all 5 nights. If you dont have light dependent coral- turn all lights off.
During the day dose 1ml of liquid bacteria (such as bacter 7 or XLM) per 10 gallons.
Clean filters daily and DO NOT FEED CORAL FOODS OR ADD NOPOX as it is food for dinos.
Day 5,, you can start with blue lights - ramping up and work your white lights up slowly
