Well hello everyone. Just joined about 2 minutes ago and wanted to introduce myself.
My name is Gregory. I'm from North dakota. I drive truck as a profession. Locally so I'm home everynight.

Let's start here. I had a 29 gallon it was up for ohhh 3 weeks in cycle... Wife and I take a trip and just so happens she bought me an early bday gift... I'm a proud owner of a 75 gallon now. It has to be drilled so therefore it's sitting at the LFS.
I literally just started the hobby so I'm acquiring knowledge from all over the place. So much information to take in at once.
So I'll be looking for a mentor someone I can get ahold of quickly on a question. Any takers?

Looking to use the 29 as a sump, should work.
Will be building my own stand.

I have a 2.5 Pico tank that I just dropped a few coarls in two days ago... They are still alive..

The 2.5 has a cheap Walmart filter like 10 gallon filter.
No heater as the 2 bulbs and room temp keep it where I want it. I have the 10 watt 50/50 bulbs from Petco above it. Along with a half watt LED strip for color. Seems to be alright.

Well thanks for ready hope to talk to some and get some advise on my new found hobby.

First thing first is looking at what type of overflow to drill for? I was thinking coast to coast with bean but it takes up so much room it looks like in pics.. Any input on that?

We all here are mentors in the hobby ;)
For a overflow if you want a clean look a Ghost is a no brainer.

They work really well.
My self have a CTC of 72" but next build will be a Ghost.

Welcome home!

You will love it here.

Post pics!

Welcome to R2R!:)

No pics to post as of now since the tank is at the shop. Tore down the others. So once I get started on everything I'll start a thread up for advice.

Thanks have a few post up now. Getting use to this whole new family!! Making it less stressful and easier for me to continue forward. Thank you all
