I plan on having 5 yellow tangs, a pair of clowns, some green chromis and maybe two or three small anthias later on. Tank is an sps only, with hopes of heavy feedings and heavy nutrient export.

Has anyone added multiple yellow tangs with success? I plan on getting them small.

@4FordFamily is the tang expert here. I think multiple can be done but 5 in a 150 is probably asking for trouble.

I agree. Five tangs may be possible, particularly smaller tangs, but that would be more crowded than most would recommend and it only takes one bad apple to start killing the others.

In addition that will be a high nutrient environment for SPS

I would not recommend it due to aggression issues.

I had 5 in a 180 years ago. I felt bad after a month and dropped down to 3. There were no issues with aggression, but played tang police with myself. In the end the 3 lasted for years with no problems

I kept 4 in a deep blue 80 rimless for a year before adding all 4 into my 265. So far so good 14 months and counting. Only 1 torn fin :)
