Hey all, I was thinking of adding a coral beauty to my 75 gallon tank. Currently stock list is 2 clowns, a small yellow tang( I know, I know), a carpenters flasher wrasse and a lawnmower blenny. No corals yet.
I have 2 basic questions, will adding the CB before corals make it more prone to nip when I do eventually add them? And secondly will adding the CB now make it more difficult to add a sand sifting goby when my pod population grows adequate enough to support one?

How long has the tank been up and running? Dwarf angels badly need a very mature tank so they can hunt and peck for food off the rocks.

Coral beauties are known to pick at lps and even sps. That said every fish is different and there are certainly people who've kept them without issue. It's a risk especially with small frags.

Feed heavily with different food types. I feed 3 to 4 times a day. Quality pellets, flakes, marine algae.
I have had probably 4 over the last decade no nipping of clams or corals/sps.
Now they do like to eat clown fish eggs.

I’m not trying to breed my clowns so no issue there. I’m not even sure if they’re paired. One is a mocha and one a snowflake.
I guess it will be a game time decision when I get to the store tomorrow. Lol

How big is the lawn mower blenny?

Not mentioned above but 3 herbivores and a 75 can get dicey, temperament wise.

The juvenile yellow tang will likely calm down if add with an acclimation box.

But the blenny inhabits the same area as a dwarf angel, the rocks. As these guys age can get very cantankerous with fish that want to use its territory and eat something it might eat. Just something to keep in mind.

Also never had my coral beauty eat corals, also primarily keep euphylia gorgs and acros, so not really a true mixed reef.

Cb had a Much Better temperament than my current pygmy yellow tail(devil fish lol).

My angels will kill any new additions of coral added to “their” tank. Even when I try to rearrange corals that have been with them for a long time they attack it once it is moved to the new location. They have even pulled new SPS plugs out of the rocks. They don’t want me redecorating “their” tank. So my vote is establish the corals before adding a possible nipper

I would add the corals first and then the CB. Giving them something new to focus on can be a real gamble. Also CBs don't take kindly to new additions once established. I would add the CB last for both reasons.
