I decided to buy a Malu anemone today and it will be here tomorrow.
I have a 20L frag tank that I'm turning into an anemone show tank. It's tied into a 140g DT which has two small BTAs. There is a 4bulb T5 above the 20L. It is bare bottom.
I know the anemone will want sand/rubble, so I'm going to construct a sand bowl from it. These are my choices. A tub straight from the kitchen, or a smaller tub that had already been "seasoned". Which do y'all think would be better?
I will adhere rock around it to look more natural, which I want to do today, so a timely response is appreciated, lol.
Thanks! And I'm sure more questions will be forthcoming!

If you are covering it with rubble. It all comes down to size.... That’s what she said. Lol pick the one that looks appropriate in the tank and provide a good base for the foot.

Put him in your tuber-ware with about 2 inches of fine sand. He will attach to the bottom of the tuber-ware. Fairly low flow and fairly bright light. Given good clean water he will be just fine. Unless you use a huge PVC and cut it short to form a container like a tuber ware, I would not recommend it. You may want to add a small flat rock or ceramic tile on the bottom of the container. If you do this, you can dig him up and more him to where ever and just bury the ceramic tile in the sand and he will just be fine.
