Hello all,

I have 3 fish in my 32.5g tank. I just added a new fish last weekend. I would like to add a fairy wrasse here soon. Is adding another fish this week too soon?

Generally speaking, I wouldn't add more than 1 fish every 4-6 weeks. This is important so that the nitrifying bacteria colony in your tank has time to grow and manage the increased bio load in the tank. Too many fish at one time might cause an elevation in ammonia (which should be zero) until the colony grows and can manage the bio load.

Are your quarantining your fish?

No, I do not have the means to quarantine them at the moment.

I don’t think there is a fairy wrasse that is really compatible in a 32. Depending on the dimensions I’m not 100% on flasher wrasses being compatible in one.

Ill have to get a smaller wrasse then... any suggestions? I love them

You're lucky. I wouldn't add anything else until you can properly quarantine. And you should not rely on the LFS to do it for you.

Possum wrasses, or a pink streak wrasse would probably be content. Depending on what is already in the tank, possum wrasses are very timid fish.
