In my biocube I am going to put a coralife 65 skimmer and add a pearly jawfish and a firefish. The tank has been stable for months and a skimmer will alow me to add more fish. The tank inhabitants are a pair of clowns, azure damsel, and a orange stripe watchman goby. I have 3 questions:

1 do I need to quarintine theses fish aunt they hardy and don't normally get ich?

2 will my goby and jaw fish get along? The jawfish my lfs carrys ate bigger.

3 will the firefish be ok with my damsel? My damsel is pretty mellow for a damsel and I have many hiding spaces.

Here's a pic

Just a side question how many fish do you guys keep in your buocube

Yes, you should quarantine them. Though they are pretty resilient, they can stil be carriers of disease and parasites.

The goby and jawfish should be fine together.

The firefish may or may not be ok with the azure damsel. The azure is peaceful for a damsel, but a biocube is pretty small.

How many fish that can be stocked in a tank varies tank to tank. If your levels are fine and there isn't significant aggression then you should be able to add more.

How should I quarintine them? Should I do the regular copper treatment for a month or is there something else I can do?

Pearly are jumpers, you'll need a tight fitting lid or screen. You probably already know this

It's been my experience that Jaw Fish are not ideal candidates in nano tanks. They need a larger more established sand bed to meet their dietary needs. Be aware that a Jaw Fish is going to drop sand on every coral in the tank every hour.

I've found that the smaller species do fine in sandbeds of about 2" or so. And sandbed maturity has never been an issue in my experience, they don't get a significant amount of their dietary needs from the sand, they readily accept prepared foods.

They will bury things near their burrow, but not the entirety of the tank.

Is there a quick quarintine for theses fish?I realy don't want a month long copper tratment and a separate tank. How about paragaurd or formalin are they good? Do they last long?

Don't cut corners, trust me.

I have a qt running right now if I put fish in their do I need to Start the qt all over again

Try a chelated copper, such as coppersafe from mardel vs. an ionic copper, such as cupramine. Chelated copper is supposedly less harsh on the fish.
