Going to be adding a sump/refugium to my 90 gallon. This tank is not drilled so I will have to use a HOB setup. My question is should I get a HOB refugium or get a HOB overflow and add a sump underneath. My main goal is to be able to have filter socks and chaeto on an opposite light timer of my display. Beyond that any product suggestions would be appreciated. My tank is an in wall display. I might be able to squeeze a 40b under my stand but wont leave much room to get my hands in there

My vote would be a hang on the back overflow and a sump, you will get way more flexibility and I would guess even the accessibility would be easier even in the stand then a HOB fuge.
I think BRS makes a hang on overflow if that helps, check those reviews.

With a HOB fuge you are going to get maybe 4 to 5 gallons of fuge.
You will have light bleed over into your tank from the fuge light if you are running it opposite cycle.
A HOB overflow with sump, you will get 30 gallons and room for socks.

The choice is yours
