adding a wrasse

I have a female melanurus wrasse In my qt. been there for 1 week. I just found a male about the same size at my lfs. can I add him to the qt without problems? my qt is 20 gal.

It's a bit risky; ultimately it depends if the female is truly female or rather an intial phase male. The safest bet is to add another female and let them decide who the male will be.
