Adding AI glow to two readsea 50s

I'm very interested in the spectrum AI blade glow puts out. Do those offer a similar style

The marketing spectrums have been accused as being wrong or at least being fudged. Tread carefully.

Most all the other bars have many different ones you can choose from.

To 30 is 100.00 more. As a supplement I thought the 21 was very expensive .
Look into reefbrites they won't have control you get from others without buying expensive controller but you won't need that if using it to supplement and will add the spread and boost your looking for.

I have a deep 65g tank and am currently running 2 redsea 50s. I'm hearing they don't pack much punch. I'm new to the hobby and have started a mixed reef. I'm considering adding a 21" AI glow for the additional spectrum range. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated

You sort of need to know where you start and what you want to prioritize.

According to Red Sea an estimate of par is about 150-ish at 20" tank and light 8" up.
100%
So 28 total inches light face to substrate.
Keep in mind they look dim due to being like 80% blue.
If you shut the white channel off you lose roughly 20% of that par.
Main peak is about 450 with some approx 410/385 but not much.
Well relatively not much since you can't control the blue peak.
Too lazy to find actual wavelength at the moment.

So your first choice is which side of 450 do you want to supplement.
BRS believes an equal spectrum from about 410 to 470 is ideal for overall color rendering

What you probably shouldn't do is add more 450.
Adding to the left will likely increase fluorescence
Adding to the right will add some brightness and push the suppressed flourescent colors
This explains it better..

Very helpful! This is exactly what I was thinking. I watched their videos on this as well. The AI Glow seemed to offer just that option with the ability to turn down the royal blue spectrum and use it to enhance my 450 with 410 and 470 spectrum as it seemed to be a good choice for both the overall health of the animal but also provide excellent quality for your eyes.
Thought on this?
